Hi Richard, I am Philip May's friend from Sudbury. I am pleased to have you up here to do our fundraising concert for world literacy. I am looking forward to meeting you. It's looking like we are going to have an awesome night. I hope you will like Sudbury and come back in the future.
The Books For Reading program that you are contributing to has sent 160,000 books to Mali, Haiti, Burunde, Ethiopia, Jamaica and another shipment to Haiti this spring. We send these books to schools that literaly have NO schooling supplies. Our hope is to reduce poverty through literacy. See you in a few weeks.

Hey Rich,
It has been so much fun working with you this summer!
I thought your people might want to know that they've got ONE WEEK LEFT to see your musical genius at work in Clay & Paper Theatre's production of "We Need Help!" at Toronto's Dufferin Grove Park. This outdoor performance about the end of oil (it's coming, folks!) features giant puppets and the grooviest live jazz Toronto has to offer - CLOSING AUGUST 6, 2007.
For more info go to clayandpapertheatre.org/news.html
See you there!

Hey Demon Rich!
Congrats on your Juno nomination! My condolences that you didn't make that set of bookends -- next time. The disc is stellar! Hope you're booking the festivals cause we'll be looking for you in the lineup in Montréal or in the NatCap region, this summer.

Hi Richard and band:

Thanks for playing at the Hearts Open Toronto benefit last night. I enjoyed your playing and compositions so much that I bought the Moments in Time CD. Now I'm listening to that at work and it's super. I'll be promoting you all to those I know and look forward to hearing you in person in future.

I just saw your show this afternoon at the Pilot. I don't know where to start! Your sound is fantastic! Unmiked, you fill the room with sound! Your compositions are uplifting! Your solo on "The Old Guys" really took it to church! (You know what i mean!) Your band was amazing also. Your guitar player has the most refreshing sound I've heard from jazz guitar in years! Bass and drums were fantastic also! I look forward to the next gig!

Just thought I would drop you an e-mail, since your name was brought
up on the Salmon Arm Roots & Blues stage this week-end. Micheal &
Ellen are also volunteering , record crowds and hot weather. Give me
a call next time you are in Salmon Arm, maybe we can grab a beer and catch-up a little.

Penrose - Saturday, July 15th, 2006 5:43 AM EDT
Hey!
You won't remember me.
Sptty, slightly blind geek from Leeds, UK,
You were very kind to me in 1991 and called me "Demon Steve" and we had tea in your house in York and played the bules.
Well now they call me Penrose and I belong to HEELIUM (www.heelium.net), and they also call me Spot (spot-the-dog.net).
Many years have not mellowed me, and I like to think that there's a little bit of 'Demon' in me still.
And now, to purchace your CD's I think....

Steve Stober - Saturday, June 17th, 2006 2:02 PM EDT
Great to see you playing with all those djembes at The Gladstone the other night. Your horn blew me right off the floor and the room was rocking already with the beat of the drums.
See you at the Market next Sunday.

Gerry Zenchuk - Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 10:57 PM EDT
Hi, Richard. My name is Gerry Zenchuk and I have a daughter attending John G. Althouse Shool. She had the priviledge of being part of the video you shot at her school earlier this year. Through her, I have been exposed to your work and must say that both Danya and I really enjoy it.

Danya was told that she would get a copy of your DVD at a future date, but, although some of the performers have received a copy, she has not. When I tried to get information at the School office, I was told that they were not familiar with the shooting and could not help. Any suggestions?

Thanks, and good luck with your career,

Gerry
